TT Management as it should be!

TT makes your SIMS Timetable accessible and easy to maintain. At the start of the academic year students always change their minds, departments want to move students between classes, teachers change who they're teaching....a multitude of notes descend upon you AND it all needs to be done ASAP!

You need to ensure that SIMS remains 100% accurate - the School Census relies on it! - and to top it all off thats in mid September.... the pressure is definitely on!

What TT can do for you:

Student Options Management

Students can and do change what they want. After all its a big decision and often its made based on things which change come the summer. You just have to keep track of who switched what in which block. Now you can find, view and change any students choices in a single intuitive screen. Any change you make is immediately committed to SIMS and you can view/print their Timetable immediately.

TIP: Get Heads of Year / Form Tutors to check through Student Options and ensure that all of them are absolutely spot on! If you want they can make the changes for you.

Class Membership (aka Setting)

Departments inevitably change Who they want in Which class. You get inundated with "versions" of the "definitive list". At some point (usually just after the exam entries have been made) you get told that the list was wrong. Woops! You can give Heads of Department to drag and drop students into the sets that they want. This automatically populates the curriculum assignment in SIMS so student timetables are spot on!

TIP: You can restrict HoDs to their own subject - limiting risk!

View, Print and Export Student/Staff/Room Timetables

You can search for, view and print any student, class, room timetable.

TIP: Staff can look up their colleagues timetables

View/Print/Export Class Lists

It's sacred to copy your set lists into your planner on the first INSET day in Sept. Usually you then end up sticking a new list over the top a week or so later as it's changed. Why not break with tradition and give staff access to their (and other) class lists and timetables via our intuitive web interface. Even better we'll pull the list of active staff from SIMS and they can login with their timetable initials....all easy!

TIP: Staff can lookup their shared class's timetables to see when they are taught by the other member of staff - great for Science departments!

Free Resources

The Cover Supervisor is your most frequent visitor at this point in the academic cycle. They need to know Who and Where are free. Your problem is that this is changing as circumstances change. Why not give them access to our innovative Free Resources screen and let them see the most up to date version. It'll save you time and paper!

TIP: Staff can lookup their room timetables to see who else is teaching in their room

Delegate Responsibility

Get others to do the heavy lifting. After all if they make the decision then they can do it on TT and it's done. You remain in control and can monitor changes as they come through - it's all logged too. You can lock down user's to:

  • View only: The default for teaching and admin staff
  • Class membership: Can move students between classes (can be subject and/or year specific)
  • Form Tutor: Can view and (and change - if you want) student options (also can be locked down to specific form group(s) ).
  • Admin: The super-user who can do anything (within reason!).

We firmly subscribe to the view that "seeing is believing" so here's a demo for you to play with. Oh and don't worry you can move students around as much as you want - we reset the database every evening.
